NiniTaxBot for Drake firms
Drake export: coming soon. NiniTaxBot does not export to Drake today. The first version is designed to work with Canopy.
Coming soon
What can a Drake firm use today?
- Clients upload. W-2s, 1099s, K-1s and other documents arrive as PDFs, phone photos or ZIP files in your firm's portal.
- AI classifies and extracts. Each document is identified by type and its box-level values are pulled into structured fields.
- Your team reviews. Values appear beside the source document in the review queue. Reviewers correct anything that needs it and approve.
- Your preparers continue in Drake. Until the Drake export ships, your team enters reviewed values in Drake the way it does today.
What is planned for Drake?
A data file prepared for import into Drake workflows, created only from data your team has approved. It is coming soon. We'll confirm the format and the import steps with pilot firms before it is offered, and we won't describe it as available until it is.
Which document types are supported?
NiniTaxBot is built around the common information returns that make up most intake work. Described generally:
| Document type | What it generally reports | Typical client format |
|---|---|---|
| Form W-2 | Wages and withholding from an employer | PDF from payroll portal, paper copy photographed |
| Form 1099-INT | Interest income | PDF download from bank, often inside a composite statement |
| Form 1099-DIV | Dividends and distributions | Brokerage PDF, often a multi-page composite |
| Form 1099-B | Proceeds from broker transactions | Brokerage composite statement |
| Form 1099-NEC / 1099-MISC | Nonemployee compensation and miscellaneous income | PDF or paper form |
| Form 1099-R | Distributions from retirement plans, pensions and annuities | PDF or paper form |
| Schedule K-1 (1065, 1120-S, 1041) | A partner's, shareholder's or beneficiary's share of income, deductions and credits | PDF, sometimes with lengthy supplemental statements |
Document coverage, field mapping and file formats will be confirmed with each pilot firm for its software and version.
What stays the same in Drake?
Everything about how you prepare, review and file the return. NiniTaxBot does not calculate tax, choose treatments, or submit anything.
